One of the most dominant factors overshadowing and hindering the perfect image of the Jamaican society is poverty. However, the island's indigenous music defines Jamaica in a positive manner and as artistes we contribute to its musical achievement and are among some of the most influential in local society. A few of us artistes attempt to give back to Jamaica by using our talent and influence to secure donations for the disenfranchised with the hope of making things better.past seven years. The Bustamante Children’s Hospital, which treats numerous sick children every day, is the only paediatric hospital in Jamaica and the English speaking Caribbean.
